UNLV Junior Willis Enjoying Breakout Season

Tre’Von Willis is tearing apart the hardwood this season despite limited vertical power due to an injured left ankle. The usual high flying Willis has typically been laying the ball off the class uncharacteristically in the past few games. Still not at 100% Willis is trying to play it safe by not putting too much pressure on his ankle.

Willis is the Rebels’ leading scorer, averaging 15.5 points per contest, and his field goal percentage has seen a major spike, currently at 49.1. Despite his 3-point percentage taking a dip, at 27.6, he’s maybe the Rebels’ most dangerous threat at the charity stripe, hitting 91 percent of his attempts this season.
